HMCTS runs courts and tribunals in England and Wales. Between 2016 and March 2025 it delivered a digital reform programme that launched new digital services across jurisdictions. Separately, in 2025–2026 HMCTS published that it is taking a careful approach to adopting artificial intelligence in justice services. Digital reform is not the same as AI deployment; the AI material on file is currently about approach and pilots, not a named production AI system.
